Birmingham - West Midlands

Lucille Price
Saxophone and Clarinet teacher.
Last year, I graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire with a MMus in Performance and Pedagogy. This came three years after graduating with a BMus (Hons) in Saxophone performance, also from Birmingham Conservatoire. Since graduating, I have been teaching across the West Midlands privately, in various independent schools and universities. As well as teaching, I have performed in many bands/ensembles such as function bands, saxophone quartets, ska bands and orchestras, and performed at prestigious venues across the UK, such as Birmingham Symphony Hall, Birmingham Town Hall and The Royal Albert Hall.

My lessons are always aimed to be enjoyable but with a goal in sight. I teach in various styles of playing, such as Jazz (including improvisation), Classical and Pop. You can have lessons weekly or fortnightly, I will always try my best to accommodate work/school schedules. If you are worried about your age or ability - FEAR NOT! My oldest pupil is in her 70s and is now around the Grade 3/4 standard on the Saxophone.

I am fully DBS checked and have attended many Child Protection Training courses. I am able to prepare you for exams or you can learn for fun! If you do wish to prepare for a Graded exam or Diploma, the exam boards I use are ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall. A free introductory lesson is offered to every new pupil. This way you are able to decide if I am the right teacher for you before further commitment.
