Working on your sound, articulation, and dynamic contrast is much easier with the Jazzlab Deflector since you hear yourself much better. Using the Deflector is similar to playing against a wall but is more direct and far more effective. Also, you can practice more softly, and your neighbors will thank you!.

During a rehearsal or in a gig, most of the time you don’t hear much of your own sound. Using the Deflector changes all that: with the Deflector your true sound comes back straight back to your ears, loud and clear. You hear what the listener hears: your sound.

• Redirects the saxophone sound back at player’s ears

• Attaches to the instrument in seconds

• Great for practicing at home

• Very effective for playing in a band

"Jazzlab Deflector"
Bought this so I wouldnt be restricted to playing in front of fixed Sound Reflector that I purchased some time ago. Must say this is very disappointing. Very little sound coming back. I will stick with the Sound Reflector.

"Sax deflector"
I think this is a decent bit of kit. Well made and robust. The deflector is clipped to the bell and the angle is easily adjusted. The amount of sound that is deflected to the player is very dependent on this angle and a bit of experimentation is needed. On the whole I am pleased with this purchase and now use it all the time. No more standing against the wall.
