Sax.co.uk Recommends

A versatile and exquisitely made entry level professional silver plated sax

A beautifully made versitile soprano sax at an affordable price, suited just as well to aspiring beginners as to experienced professionals.

Yanagisawa saxes are made by a small family company in Japan who only make professional quality saxes, and they do it very well. This degree of focus means they are of a quality that even their main competitors recognise as the best. Here at Sax.co our technicians love them as they play straight out of the box and they are by far the most reliable instruments we sell.

The small-scale, high-pitch soprano is especially difficult to manufacture but Yanagisawa create sopranos with an unrivalled reputation for being "The World's Best."

    "Great soprano!"
I bought the Yanagisawa S901 silver plated a few weeks ago, and I am impressed with its quality. Had a Yanagisawa s901, and other brands as well, but this one has the best sound quality one can hope for in Sopranos. Perfect intonation, clear and stable sound. Mechanism is smooth and very cooperative. Sound may be manipulated to be sweet (played with a meyer mouthpiece and blue Vandoren reed) or cheeky and bold (Yanagisawa or Bari mouthpiece with red Java Vandoren reed). I play it daily, and am extremely happy with this purchase.
