At first this harness was fantastic, certainly does take the weight off your neck and transfers it elsewhere. Fits well under a suit jacket, easy to take on and off, great movement. But I managed to break 2 of these within a year, the first one after 10 months, the second after 2. It can probably be said Im a very physical player, I jump around and dance whilst I play, but I didnt mistreat these straps, and yet they broke in the same place, just below the hinge on the right shoulder blade. This was always bound to be a pressure point, as every sax players right shoulder sticks out when they play, but I dont understand why the material wasnt thicker or stronger at those points anyway, as its such a vital part of the contraption. I play tenor, at its designed for bari?? Someone in a marching band with a bari would put just as much force on this thing as me, and if that thing drops... A good design not thoroughly tested. Vandoren have received my broken harnesses in the mail, and the shop I bought it from as stopped selling it. If you know youre not an energetic player then go for it, it really does work, but anything more than moonlight serenading I wouldnt recommend. Also its not very comfortable to wear playing seated.
