1939 Selmer (Paris)
Balanced Action Alto £1,999 inc.vat
SOLD

Introduced c. 1935 the Balanced Action represented a significant change in the design and manufacturing of saxophones. Selmer streamlined the feel of the action by placing the bell keys all on the right side of the bell. Second only in popularity to the Mark VI.

This particular alto has lost most of its lacquer but in many ways that even adds to its charm! With old case. Checked and adjusted by our in house technician Andrea Perego who says "the action is superb!" No dings or dents, extensive polishing over the years has left the engraving rather feint. With old case.
