Mark Lockheart is one of the most distinctive and creative musicians on the current British music scene. As a saxophonist and composer, his work often defies categorisation and crosses the boundaries of the jazz, new music and folk worlds. "Lockheart is a consummate saxophonist and a original and versatile composer" The Rough Guide to Jazz. |
Steve was initially a guitarist with Spandau Ballet. By the third Spandau Ballet album not only did he bring his love of percussion to the mix but also introduced the saxophone which has since become his signature instrument.

Subject: YOU'VE GOT A
WONDERFUL SERVICE!
Dear Adrian, Thanks a lot for your assistance and kind help while I was buying a sax in your unique store (more like Disney land for sax players, than a usual music instruments shop).
I've bought Yanagisawa SC-992,
100% great horn, but only now, after a while, I can
feel all the beauty of sound it's giving to me each time
I play.
Wish you all the best for your
business in these uneasy times! Will recommend your
service to everyone I know.
Looking forward to come back to sax.co.uk for
buying new sax or something else.
Kind regards, Sergej Vichrov
"During our four-day-trip to
London my boyfriend and I visited your shop ..........we got
undoubtedly the best service we have ever had in any musical instrument
shop home in Finland or abroad. My boyfriend got a chance to try out
and compare different mouthpieces, and I was offered a cup of free
coffee and tea and a chair to sit on while waiting. Despite our lack of
proper English skills, we were served in the most warm and encouraging
way. ........ we were so overwhelmed by the great treatment we got.
"Many thanks to you, Adrian and Paul, for
all your help and attention. I came to browse in the London
store and left with the beautiful Kookaburra reference.
Despite not having played for some years your welcome was
enthusiastic and free from pressure. It was a delight to be
able to try a range of saxes without any rush or sense of
obligation. There were two or three altos that would have been
wonderful for me and Paul's "if you like that, then you might like
this" approach guided me well. Having loved the Yani it was a
shock to find that I preferred the Kookaburra especially since I
tend to be a "form and function" person, usually unimpressed by
labels and because Selmer's that I tried years ago had not inspired
or suited me. The fact that the sax was checked over carefully
before I left and your help with a few minor post purchase queries
has only enhanced your excellent service" John Young
