A new professional sax with "Vintage" character.

Designed for those who prefer their tone a little more "vintage," without the comfort, tuning and reliability problems often associated with older saxes. It features drawn & rolled tone holes allowing better resonance and an enlarged bell to compliment an already warm, fat sound.

This Custom Class "Vintage Series" tenor features cognac lacquer finish, rolled tone holes, beautiful abalone shell key touches and high F# key. The slightly darker is in keeping with the vintage tone this model is famous for. The larger bell further encourages the full bodied and warm tone.

It is rare to find rolled tone holes on a modern sax and these give a noticeably quieter key action and extended pad life.

This is a sax with a huge, flexible voice and is a joy to play - warm and rich but, when pushed, it can deliver an enormous amount of power.

Material: Brass

Finish: Cognac lacquer

Key Touches: Genuine abalone shell

Neck: Super Jazz VI

Even tone quality, great intonation and easy response of a modern horn, and the sound of classic vintage horns. Playing a Mauriat allows me to focus all my energy on the music, and not on making the horn play! Dan Stern

After having the opportunity of playing for a long time on two excellent P.Mauriat Saxophones: Alto: PMXA-67R CL and Tenor: PMXT-66R CL, I can certainly say that they are instruments of first class in every way. Roberto Benitez
