Join us for a complete evening’s entertainment including individual performances and talks by our two featured artists, followed by a full live set with all of the musicians. George and Allen will discuss subjects including practice routines and techniques, making a living on the LA music scene, life on the road and more!

George Shelby

George Shelby has recorded and performed with artists as diverse as Beyoncé, Michael McDonald, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Toto, Bruce Springsteen, Bono, Sting, Elton John, Chaka Khan, Johnny Mathis, and many others. His TV and movie credits include Glee, The Grammy Awards (tribute to Aretha Franklin, with Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, Florence Welch, Oleta Adams, and Martina McBride), The X Factor, Late Show with David Letterman (with Brian Setzer), and more. He’s also performed for the PBS series Live from the White House: A Tribute to the Women of Soul with Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Jill Scott, Janelle Monáe, Ariana Grande, Melissa Etheridge, and Tessanne Chin. George is a multi-album recording artist, and continues to perform at jazz festivals around the world, including Montreal, Montreaux, Monterey, Tokyo, Manila, Nice, and Paris.

Allen Vizzutti

Allen Vizzutti is a composer, performer, and teacher, and has performed a wide variety of styles with a huge roster of luminaries such as Chick Corea, 'Doc' Severinsen, the NBC Tonight Show Band, the Airmen Of Note, the Army Blues and Army Symphony Orchestra, Chuck Mangione, Woody Herman, Japan’s NHK Orchestra and the New Tokyo Philharmonic, the Budapest Radio Orchestra, , the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Leipzig Wind Symphony and the Kosie Wind Orchestra. As Artist in Residence, Allen has taught at the Eastman School of Music, the Banff Center for the Performing Arts, Kansas State University, Ohio State University, West Texas State University, the Skidmore Jazz Institute, and the Trompeten Akademie of Bremen Germany. He is currently Artist In Residency at the University of South Carolina. His extensive treatise, The Allen Vizzutti Trumpet Method and his New Concepts for Trumpet (Alfred Music Publishing) have become standard works for trumpet study worldwide. He’s also performed on over 100 motion picture and TV soundtracks, including Back To The Future and Star Trek.

Nathan Flutebox Lee

Incorporating his dynamic trademark 'Fluteboxing' - simultaneously playing the flute whilst beat boxing; Nathan's futuristic style is a fusion of Hip Hop, Dubstep, and Drum & Bass beats, blended with Jazz, Funk, and hypnotic Eastern melodies. He has established himself as a 21st Century pioneer of his art form, with his breathtaking, high-octane live performances, leading Arena Magazine to rank him number 18 on their list of the '100 Coolest Things on the Planet'

Equally at home playing a sell out show at the Purcell Room in the Prestigious Southbank Centre in London, as he is gracing the stage with a number of highly respected and well established acts, Nathan has collaborated live, and in the studio with legendary artists including; The Prodigy, Plan B, The Roots, Asian Dub Foundation, DJ Sander Kleinenberg, Nitin Sawhney, Beardyman, Guru, Speech Debelle, K.T. Tunstall, Foreign Beggars, Natty, Rodney P & Skitz, Mattafix and Ed Rush & Optical.

This is a non-ticketed event - once your reservation has been made simply turn up on the night, we will have your name at the door.

All donations will be donated to the charity Favela Brass. Favela Brass, founded in 2014 by British trumpet player Tom Ashe, provide free brass, percussion and English lessons for children in a small favela in Rio de Janeiro The charity aims to build on the tradition of brass and percussion playing central to Rio’s rich musical heritage.

All the money received for no shows will not be returned, and instead given to the charity.
