Review

For decades, every time a new student walked through our doors, they would have a list of two or three saxes recommended by their teacher and Buffet was always one of them. This latest incarnation lives up to that reputation, even though the price has increased significantly which may rule it out for some beginners. The good news is that the quality and specification have also increased so now this a sax that many would consider an intermediate or "step up" model that many experienced players would be happy with. I have played Selmer S80 Alto saxophone for many years never interested in playing Tenor Saxophones One day I was looking at sax.co.uk website and thought if I should try a Tenor sax. I contacted sax.co.uk and ask if they can send me three sound clips of three different saxophones P Mauriat let bravo, Jupiter and the Buffett 400 I liked all the sound clips but I chose the buffet, not sure why I chose it. Could be the price But any way I ordered the Buffett. For the price this sax plays very well and easy to blow Altissimo is easy low notes easy I tried three different mouth pieces vandoren v16 T6 T8 And Otto link tone edge all play very well, using the free reed that came with the saxophone it was an unbranded reed, the reed played very well on all three mouthpiece altissimo it easier on vandoren V16s both mouthpiece Im so glad that sax.co.uk was able to help And thanks for the sound clips
