	Silver plated brass (unlacquered) with hand engraving. To minimise cleaning, lacquered saxes are sprayed with a thin layer of plastic lacquer which slightly dampens the resonance of the metal. In contrast, unlacquered silver plated saxes have an addional layer of metal providing extra resonance.....but it is harder to keep them clean. Silver is the brightest sounding finish.
