The Super Action 80 series II has exceptional acoustic features: unrivalled tuning across the range, an open and rich sound, presence and great projection power."

This is the choice of many professional sax players throughout the world. It allows the sax player to really come through and the sound it delivers is very clear and warm. It possesses a very comfortable action and it is easy to find your way around the instrument. Our resident saxophonist Steve Birtwistle plays the Series II and although he raves about many of the saxophones in our showroom, he would not swap his saxophone for any of them. "I have grown into my Selmer and it seems to be getting better with age. The quality of this horn is superb and I find it incredibly versatile for any style of music". It is a little more reserved than the Series 3 and has a very mature sound. We like it! 'Henri Selmer Paris made in France' logo on the bell but no fancy hand engraving.

Supplied by: Selmer - generally regarded as the home of the sax as they bought the orginal factory from Adolphe Sax. All saxes are still handmade in their Paris factory.

Supplied with Selmer S80 C* ebonite mouthpiece.

Looks stunning in solid black lacquer with gold keywork, gold engraving and gold inner bell. Black lacquer is more than just a colour. The sax is made from regular brass before a black lacquer is applied which is thicker than the regular gold or clear lacquer. This thicker lacquer has a greater dampening effect on the vibrations enhancing a warmer, darker tone.
