BARI

Good all-rounders, and especially favored on soprano, BARI offer a large chambered ebonite & and range of metals from the open chambered WTII through to the bright and piecing Hawk II.

Beechler

An interesting range including the Stainless steel Bellite mouthpiece- loved by smooth jazz and funk players the World over. Their ebonite and ‘acoustic resin’ ‘pieces are well worth considering too.

Berg Larsen

One of the originals. A varied range of mouthpieces designed for a big, powerful delivery but not at the expense of core tone. Choice of many of the greats.... Sonny Rollins, Plas Johnson, Jan Garbarek & Bill Clinton to name a few

Claude Lakey

A range of big toned, bright ebonite mouthpieces with plenty of projection. Great for situations where a bit of edge is needed but without going for a metal ‘piece.

Dave Guardala

Legendary pieces designed by Dave Guardala. Amazing response and superb versatile tone make these some of the best ‘pieces on the market.

Dukoff

The Dukoff D chamber is one of the classic designs of mouthpiece (made popular by David Sanborn and the like). Big, bright & imposing but once tamed, a really distinctive and flexible choice. The sound of many great funk and fusion players.

Jody Jazz

Top quality pieces designed by Jody Espina. A wide range to suit many styles of playing. From the HR ebonite through to the DV there’s a mouthpiece for every application- all extremely well designed and lovingly finished.

Lawton

The mouthpiece of choice of many top professional players- Johnny Dankworth, James Carter, Tim Price, Ernie Watts etc. Hand made in England by Jason Lawton.

Lebayle

LeBayle- Every piece handmade by Fred LeBayle in France. A range of metal and ebonite pieces used by the likes of Branford Marsalis, Ravi Coltrane and Candy Dulfer. Contemporary toned and flexible…

Meyer

A range with a long distinguished history. The mouthpiece of many of the greats down the ages. For alto players, very much the standard choice for a flexible toned and versatile mouthpiece (virtually every player who comes into our shops wanting an alto set up to cover both jazz and classical playing chooses a narrow tipped Meyer)

Otto Link

A range with a long distinguished history. The mouthpiece of many of the greats down the ages. For tenor players, very much the ‘standard’ choice for a flexible toned jazz/blues ‘piece.

Rousseau

A less well-known range but there are several excellent pieces in the Rousseau range. Their Classical pieces and JDX are favourites here at the shop (the Baritone JDX is one of the best and most versatile ebonite baritone pieces we’ve found).

Runyon

A range of ‘pieces from Louisiana. Something to cover all the bases here- from the vast projection of the Quantum through to the 22 & 88, aimed at concert band work and classical. The former has become something of an ‘industry standard’ for many rock, ska and fusion players.

Selmer

A range of ebonites designed for classical and all- round work together with two interesting large chambered metal pieces.

SR Technologies

A range of great hand-made mouthpieces from the USA made by friend of Sax.co.uk, Ron Singer. Mouthpieces to cover most playing styles, the Alto Pro and Soprano Polycarbonate Legend are particular favourite here at sax.co.uk.

Theo Wanne

Exquisitely made, top end, hand crafted pieces from the USA. Incredibly responsive and a vast tone. Peerless.

Vandoren

Some of the best quality factory produced pieces on the market. Exceptional finish and a collection of strong designs. Everything from the Optimum (one of the best classical pieces on the market) through to the raw power of the Jumbo Java.

Yanagisawa

A simple range- one metal, one ebonite, both well designed and superbly finished.
