This is one of the new generation of inexpensive Chinese made saxes. Some of these are very poor but the Prelude is fine having been made specially for Selmer USA. Compared with more expensive student saxes they are not as robust, less accurate tuning, less comfortable to play with lower grade accessories. However, we consider them good value for money and a valid starter instrument if you have a low budget.We highly recommend upgrading the mouthpiece to a Yamaha as it greatly improves the playability.
