Supplied in a shaped hard case with wheels, mouthpiece and two necks to take bass or baritone mouthpiece.The overall feel of the instrument is big, but then what do you expect from the Queen (I suppose Contra-bass is King) of all saxes! The mechanism feels smooth and you can get around the instrument with speed as you get more use to where to lay your fingers.Soundwise it has a smooth sound at the high end; not too harsh and the intonation is pretty on the ball with no embouchure adjustment. When you start hitting the lower notes it comes into its own with exactly what you want from a bass. Big, loud (yet controllable) with a full, rich sound.The one real problem with this sax is trying to play it with a big smile on your face!
