It is extremely light in weight (making it lighter than a plastic mouthpiece of the same dimensions) but it delivers a well-balanced and evenly spread sound. The top register also manages to retain this warmth and expanse in sound, without thinning out in any way (which can often be a problem area in metal tenor mouthpieces).
