"It's an unfortunate fact that the majority of baritones (especially older horns) are quite picky about which mouthpieces work well with them. For jazz or blues playing something with a bit of edge is often needed (particularly if playing through a PA-overblowing a baritone to make oneself heard in monitors is really not going to be a viable option!). The Rousseau JDX is a nice compromise with the full tone of an ebonite 'piece such as a Link or a Meyer- but with a bit of extra 'bite' from the uniquely shaped baffles. (yes- baffles, not baffle- there's one on each side)." jules@sax.co.uk
