"With their large array of chamber types, materials and tip openings Berg Larsen's range can be somewhat intimidating. Don't be put off though, there are a lot of very strong & distinctive pieces in their range. The bronze duckbill is a good example- the number 2 chamber type, my own weapon of choice, has a huge, robust tone and is as responsive as any mouthpiece I've ever come across. The relatively flat tip gives a slightly different jaw position which -for me at least- facilitates percussive delivery. Warm, room-filling & slightly vintage in character these pieces are definitely a strong contender for anyone wanting the power of a metal mouthpiece, but without the bright edginess that characterizes a lot of modern designs." - Jules@sax.co.uk
