F48/F50 - cylindrical first 2/3s of length then flare - 'Great for straight ahead jazz playing giving the player the use of all sound colors possible' The 50 will be more free blowing than the 48. The F's were my favourites - to me they had a nice and open sound, with a big attack.S48/S50 - straight cylinder - 'The most balanced….allows the player to shape the sound but when pushed holds its 'center' more than the others. Good choice for rock, pop and mainstream jazz.' I liked this one too, found it a bit more focused than the F.A48/A50 - A stands for Arc.
