The SERIES III Alto saxophone goes on writing the story of the Selmer Sound : free and centred, the instrument offers excellent playability. It responds to the slightest breath or tongue modulation so that you can really express your personality. Some new features such as the double C# mechanism help create stable overall tuning and a well-balanced high register.
WHAT WE SAY " The Series 3 alto is a fantastic instrument. It is so easy to play and really sings!! You can just relax into this instrument and like a good sports car almost drives itself!!! All the keys are in the right place and it sits very comfortably in the hands. Like the Series 2 it is a solid instrument and projection is wonderful. to improve performance the Series 3 has the following new
features:
Reduced size & weight of ribs (the body plates supporting the posts) by 30%
resulting in better resonance.
The body to bow assembly features a toric joint for perfect air tightness.
Improved balance for more comfortable playing position.
Re-positioned table keys for extra comfort.
Re-designed palm keys, side keys & little finger keys.
New neck design for enhanced mouthpiece response.
Multi-directional metal thumb rest.
Leather rivetless metal booster pads for better sound reflection.
All keys fitted with flat surface mother of pearl.

first of all, let me tell you that I'm extremely happy! My saxophone arrived
intact last Friday (after 4 working days of placing my order). I have nothing to
say about the instrument. Selmer Serie III sells itself. No words can
describe it's beauty and sound! It was worth waiting for the flat matte.

I just wanted to say that I've had the Selmer 3 since just before Christmas and
it's absolutely terrific. It's like driving an MG -- powerful but classy --and
