From the Serial Number 97851 we think this horn was made in 1921 or 1922. Its in very good condition for its age with no serious dings.  As you can see it's a lovely deep old gold colour, it has the famous Conn variable tuning crook and of course that classic American tone. With the patented drawn and rolled tone holes these Conns are regarded as some of the finest saxes produced at that time.  It plays really nicely having been set up, adjusted & extensively re-padded by sax technician Dennis Primmett. We assume its the original case, it's certainly very old!
