 For
over one hundred years, the name Conn has meant the very finest in
American-made saxophones. The legendary models of the earlier part of the
twentieth century are among the most prized and sought after among
collectors and performers alike. As a tribute to the
quality of construction and design, vintage Conn
saxophones are often seen today in the hands of top professionals as the
"instrument of choice", and many of the innovations
first pioneered by the Conn company are found on instruments produced
today by manufacturers around the world.

Conn Alto Sax
SOLD
(These are photos of this
actual sax).
From
the Serial Number 97851 we think this horn was made in 1921 or 1922. Its
in very good condition for its age with no serious dings. As you can
see it's a lovely deep old gold colour, it has the famous Conn variable
tuning crook and of course that classic American tone. With the
patented drawn and rolled tone holes these Conns are regarded as some of
the finest saxes produced at that time. It
plays really nicely having been set up, adjusted & extensively re-padded
by sax technician Dennis Primmett. We assume its the original case, it's
certainly very old!
